The Symbol of the Rosminian Sisters

The pelican, who feeds her young with her own blood, is the symbol of that love which extends even to the sacrifice of one’s own life.

Jesus is the “good pelican”, who in the Eucharist shows us the fullness of his love, sacrificing his body and blood for the salvation of all people.

For we Rosminian Sisters it is the sign of our total consecration to Love, expressed in the relationship of intimate communion with Christ and generous service of others.
